Penglipuran Village Bangli
Penglipuran village is a beautiful highland village in Bangli regency, best known for its well-preserved culture and village layout. While most of its residents have embraced modernity, its individual compounds are well-kept to look traditional with visitors in mind. Traditional style, fresh atmosphere, kind villager is the best 3 things you can found in this village. The best time to visit this village is on Galungan and Kuningan day. Why? In 1970, Tenganan village known as most seclude society in the archipelago. It is now one of the very few villages in Bali that still has a well-preserved Bali Aga culture. It still holds to the original traditions, ceremonies and rules of ancient Balinese, its unique village layout and architecture, as well as its Gamelan selunding music and double ikattextiles. Trunyan Village Kintamani
Trunyan village located in the eastern shore of Batur Lake. To access this village you need to across by a boat. The local will charges you $20 per boat and one boat can fit 5 persons. The reason this bali village special is because its culture. Usually, peoples in Bali will hold a Ngaben ceremony for family member who passed away. Ngaben itself is cremation ceremony in Bali. But in Trunyan, the villager did not hold the ceremony. The villager leaves the dead bodies and just covered with simple bamboo and cloth and left to decompose by nature. They influence of the nearby tree remove the smell of corpses. No wonder you will see human skull.. I mean real human skull around the village. Dare to visit this village?
